1. Take risks

Many of life’s greatest accomplishments require going outside of your comfort zone. Whether it’s talking in front of a group of people or investing money so your business can grow, or putting yourself out there for the chance to find love, some of life’s most rewarding experiences come from taking risks!

You have to commit to going outside if your comfort and taking risk. In most cases, being stuck in your comfort zone for way too long has a very bad effect on you and your future.⁣

Taking risks doesn’t only involve trying newer or difficult challenges but also going testing the deeper waters of your hearts. E.g:

– Forgiveness: Forgiving your parents, forgiving people that hurt you
– Embracing change even when you’re most comfortable.

Get comfortable being uncomfortable.

2. Trust yourself

The first step to trusting yourself is to stop doubting yourself. If you believe you’re going to succeed and act towards it – you make room for the universe to act in your favour. Understand the only limits we set, are in our mind. Your potential is what you make it. You define your own reality. ⁣⁣⁣

Stepping out of your comfort zone could also mean stepping into a more loving relationship with yourself. You don’t want to wake up one morning and realize that the world didn’t stand still and moved on, people changed, improved, got things done BUT you’re still be in your comfort zone because you didn’t take action.⁣

It also means not lying to yourself – If you’re having trouble achieving your goal, you should be honest with yourself about why. After you’ve reached an agreement, try to come up with a plan to help you succeed.

  • Push yourself more often but with total respect for yourself
  • Do one thing a day to push you outside your comfort zone.
  • Believe in yourself if you want others to believe in you.

3. Improve yourself & refine your skillset

Every time you improve yourself you leave behind traces of things that were holding you back. As a result you attract better opportunities and people that help you leave your comfort zone.

Part of being more competent is to Refine your skillset.

In the past two years I have made moves to gather some more skills under my belt, including:
– Learning the basics of SEO
– Google ads
– Writing daily (learn how I restarted writing as a habit)

This is the only way to reach your potential and your goals, aspirations, and vision. ⁣

The more you step outside of your comfort zone the bigger it will get.

You might feel nervous, uncomfortable and may even feel some stress. The question is “Are you willing to do the things others don’t?” ⁣

The only way to get something different is by doing something different and pushing yourself to get more out of life.

Commit to taking action rather than overthinking.

Do what scares you the most

Think of how many times you have been scared of doing something and when you do them, life got better?

Release yourself from labels that have caged you for years

“My social anxiety” “I’m an introvert”  All this does not mean you cannot do something that challenges you.

  • Cold shower
  • Send a Cold DM to someone you admire the most; thank them or say something nice about their new content.

The ability to identify sources of stress in your life and find healthy ways to cope with them is a life hack.

Learn to do something beneficial and interesting alone:

  • Eat in a Restaurant alone
  • Visit a local bookshop

  • Start a new hobby to explore other aspect of your life
  • Be able to build something/work with your hands

6. Go out and enjoy life

Just because you’re comfortable where you live doesn’t mean its best. Stretch yourself – Don’t be afraid to try new things

  • Start a workout habit
  • Keep eye contact when speaking to people
  • Reach out to a friend you haven’t talked to for some time on your contact list and say hi
  • Change up your daily routine
  • Approach strangers you find interesting in public and initiate a conversation.
  • Volunteer or participate in something that doesn’t necessarily pay you back.

Whenever you feel stuck – it’s time to start saying yes more often. Yes to new opportunities you may have been declining previously.

  • Accept that new offer and see whether it fits.
  • Don’t be afraid to ask for a date with your crush.
  • Go at least once with that guy asking you out and see how things work out.

This will boost your social skills and boost your self-confidence.

If you’re an introvert that has never spoken in public – accept any challenge that’s gets you to speak in front of others it doesn’t matter if there are only 5 people in the room.

Have you been thinking of starting your small business but you’re afraid of what people would say or whether you’ll fail or not?

Most people use their jobs, parents or position as security. But once you start a business it doesn’t matter whether it’s on the side – you learn to start taking more responsibilities.

Personally I don’t know how many people I would have had contact with if I never engaged in entrepreneurship – probably one or two a day; but with my hobbies and businesses I have the potential to impact millions of people a day.

Starting a business is one of the best form of self-improvement there is.
